NAAC full form is National assessment and accreditation council. It is an autonomous and individual body which evaluates and accredits education system in India. It is founded by UGC (University Grants Commission) of India following the recommendation of National education policy which recommended the standard of India’s higher education. The formation of NAAC was completed in the year September 1994NAAC headquarters are situated in Bengaluru. 








NAAC Eligliblity Criteria





To be eligible for NAAC, a higher education institute mist meet the following criteria: – 

  • Have at least 2 graduating student batches or have in existence for at least 6 years whichever is earlier.   




  • It includes State, central, Private, deemed to be university are eligible for accreditations.   



  • Institutes located within India region; Out of India campus are not eligible for accreditations.

NAAC A++ University in India





There are only few universities in India which has received NAAC A++ status in India from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Some of the famous universities and college in India are Jawahar Lal Nehru university (JNU), Indian Institute of science (IISc), are well known postgraduate universities followed by University of Hyderabad for its exceptional research output and academic program.
